Office of the Chief


The Morgan’s Point Resort Police Department is currently under the direction of Chief of Police Matthew Schuetze. Chief Schuetze is a veteran law enforcement officer with numerous years of experience that he has obtained from various departments in the Bell County area since becoming a Peace Officer in 2005. Chief Schuetze holds a Master Peace Officer license from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement and an Associates of Applied Sciences Degree in Criminal Justice from Temple College. Chief Schuetze also holds an Emergency Care Attendant license from the Texas Department of State Health Services. Chief Schuetze has served the City of Morgan’s Point Resort as a patrol officer, Field Training Coordinator, Sergeant, Investigator, Lieutenant, and now Chief of Police since 2011.

Through the helpful information contained in our website, you will find our agency is committed to addressing the concerns of our community and the various services we provide.

Guided by our Administrative Staff, the members of the Morgan’s Point Resort Police Department are devoted to professionalism and devoted to increasing our overall quality of life. We are a proactive department that strives to build lasting relationships with all of city’s diverse community.
